Crosswordpuzzles in the Lunchbreak

Who does not know the feeling. We got a newspaper, already read the gossip stuff, the sports part or whatever we are interested in, according to the horoscope we know what we can reach today and tomorrow or who we're gonna fall in love with. Okay. Who cares about politics and stuff - but even that we read already - and our break lasts only in about twenty minutes and we do not want to go back to work until then. So we go back to the crossword puzzle.

Everyday again and again we try to fill it in completely. FAIL. Who of you does always know all the right answers to the questions? Who understands all of them?
Rivers, Islands, Castles, Capital Cities... The easy things, 'cause they are always the same! But sometimes there's things we haven't even heard of. How frustrating.
So one of my workmates came up with the idea of creating her own crosswords. Why not?
"Those questions cannot be real ones. They are faked. So now I do them by myself, because I also can create fake-questions! HA!" (And no, they were real, she just did not know them :P )

Just to prove it, we - another workmate and I - opened google and started getting the answers for her from the internet. Not without making a fool out of her for sure. But we had fun and learned some quite useful things for crosswords.
Did you know that the Island in front of Neapel (Capri) consists of chalk? Or maybe you knew the answer which scale unit we use to define the strength of magnetic fields?

Well every person who had science in school and was not a complete idiot in that (like me sometimes) would have answered the second question with "Ampere per meter". FAIL! Since the first letter was an "O". Good, so there had to be a second thing we can use for that. And I found it in Wikipedia:
There's two different systems of units or how they called it. So in the first one - called "SI" the unit for magnetic field strength is Ampere/meter and in the second one called "CGS" it's Oersted (Oe).

After that one we gave it up since we all felt like having an IQ of a person in preschool or even lower.
Now we know things we did not even want to know, but the lunch break was over quite fast with searching for all this crazy stuff. And since we did not have lots to do anyway, we even found the time to talk about all the crappy things they write in the gossip newspaper.
And we also draw a conclusion: Noone of us is going to pay 1 euro for the newspaper again, since nothing is worth reading it and the puzzles are insolvable (at least for people who are used to reading those kinds of crap). We only take the ones that are for free, so that we can solve the puzzles, because they seem to be much much easier. :)
